Why flashcards work in the classroom
Students remember material best by actively recalling it and reviewing it at the right moment. That is exactly what flashcards do. With Flipeezy, teachers do not have to make hundreds of cards themselves, and they see straight away who has mastered the material and who has not started yet.
How Flipeezy works at school
1. Your school and classes
Your school gets its own space with three roles: administrator (for example the head teacher or IT coordinator), teachers and students. Create your classes, such as 3A or Year 9 French. Each class gets its own join code, so students place themselves in the right class.
2. Prepare school boards
Teachers create school boards: sets of flashcards for a chapter, a test or a word list. Make the cards yourself, import them from a CSV file or let AI create them from a PDF or photo of your course. See how to go from PDF to flashcards.
3. Release to the whole school or selected classes
A school board stays hidden until you release it. Then choose whether it is for the whole school or only for selected classes. You can prepare everything calmly and only release it when your class is ready.
4. Follow each student’s results
For every school board you see an overview of all students who have access to it: their score, number of sessions and when they last studied. Students who have not started yet are listed too, as not done yet. So you know before the test who needs a little nudge.
What students get
- Several study modes. Flipping cards, multiple choice and a type mode that recognises small typos as “almost right”.
- Smart reviewing. With spaced repetition, difficult cards come back more often and easy ones less.
- Their own progress. Every student studies with their own score, a daily goal and an overview of how many days in a row they studied.
- Calm and structure. One card at a time and always the same structure. That helps every student, and especially those who need predictability. Read more about studying with autism or ADHD.
Hassle-free management
- Shared AI pool. All teachers share the plan’s AI imports. You can see in the admin area how many are left.
- Manage members. Search and filter by name, role, class and status, change a member’s role or move a student to another class.
- New school year. Start a new school year with one click: students are unlinked, their own account and progress are kept.
- Invoices in the school’s name. Enter your school’s billing details (legal name, VAT and company number) and pay for the plan online.
In class and for every student
- Live class quiz. Play a quiz with a board’s cards on the classroom display. Students join on their phone with a code, no account needed.
- Print a test. Make a paper test or worksheet in a few clicks, with open questions or multiple choice and an answer key.
- Hardest cards. See per board which cards your class gets wrong most, so you know what to revisit in class.
- Send a nudge. One click emails every student who hasn’t practised a board yet.
- Student overview. All of one student’s results across every board, handy for a parents’ evening or staff meeting.
- Differentiation. Give a board to a few students for extra practice and switch on accommodations per student: automatic read-aloud, calm mode, a readable font or larger text.
- Quick start. Import a class list from a CSV file, or create accounts without an email address for young students, with printable login cards.
Privacy and student data
Student data should stay safe and in Europe. Flipeezy only uses it to provide the service: never for advertising and never sold. Every school is covered by a GDPR data processing agreement, listing the sub-processors, retention periods and what happens when the plan ends. Young students without their own email address get an account with a username and start code created by their teacher.
